SUMMARY ON THE ULTIMATE DIET BY D.O. OYEDEPO

The book, the Miracle Meal was written by David O. Oyedepo. In this summary of Chapter 1, The Ultimate Diet, the author shares with us that, through the inspiration of God, the quality of what we eat determines the quality of life we bear. It determines the quality of health and the quality of vigour and vitality that is operational in us, and God satisfies our mouth with good things, so that our days are renewed by the day, like eagles (Psalm 103:1-5).

Dr Oyedepo explains that the better the food we eat, the better the health we enjoy. The provision of the ultimate diet that guarantees a sound body and flourishing health, is found in the scripture of Mark 14:22-24, when Jesus introduced this meal to the disciples. The author shares that it is of the highest nutrients and better than Manna. He explains that Manna is a food which was extraordinarily supplied to the Israelites in their journey through the wilderness, which is found in the book of Exodus 16:1–36. He adds that Jesus explained that He is the True Manna in John 6:48-51.

Better than Manna
The writer explains that after God gave the Israelites manna they waxed strong, and no one was feeble after walking for 40 years in the wilderness (Psalm 105:37). This was because of the ultimate meal which gave them strength, nothing could compare to it; Caleb also partook of the manna from heaven and drank of the water that came out of the rock. He reminds us that Caleb was with the spies before entering Canaan and that 40 years later he was still strong because of that supernatural meal he partook.

The author emphasises that we need to understand that the ultimate meal is designed for strength, health and longevity. Further, that if we take it with the correct spiritual perspective, we can expect to be strong, healthy and to fulfil the number of our days.
